SecretDesires Review 2026: Pros, Cons, and Who Is It For

Okay so I've tested a stupid amount of these AI girlfriend sites, and most of them fall apart in the same spot: the memory. You have a decent forty-message conversation, things are going somewhere, and then she suddenly asks what your name is again. Cool. Great. Very immersive.

SecretDesires mostly doesn't do that, at least not on the good engines. I ran a session for maybe an hour and a half on DesireXXX and it kept referencing something I'd said near the beginning, unprompted. Small thing, but honestly it's the whole ballgame.

The other bit that got me, and I know this sounds trivial, is the message pacing. Instead of dumping a 300-word wall of prose at you, the better models fire off two or three short texts back to back. Quarterly and yearly knock the monthly rate down and dump all your hearts upfront, which is the smarter move if you already know you like it. Heart packs start around $4.99 for 50. Here's the honest math though: if you live on the 4-heart engines, 300 hearts is roughly 75 messages. You will buy packs. Budget for it or stick to the cheaper models for everyday chatting and save the heavy ones for when it matters.

Yeah, for most people I'd say it's worth the $7.99 entry, and probably worth going higher if you care about the top engines.

What sold me wasn't the feature list, even though the feature list is genuinely long. It was two small things: the multi-message texting rhythm, and the fact that the good engines actually remember stuff. Those two together move it from "chatbot with a wig on" to something that holds up over a long session. And the freeform creation is the most flexible I've used, no contest.

The catch is the hearts. There's no way around it. If you're chatting daily on the premium models you're buying packs, and that turns a $19.99 subscription into something closer to $30 in a busy month. Also, Vermeer being the best-looking engine while being the most limited on explicit content is just kind of frustrating.

But look, try the free tier. Five messages a day isn't much, but it's enough to know within about ten minutes whether the writing style works for you. That's more than most of these sites bother to offer, and it says something.
