Xeve.ai Review 2026: Pros, Cons, and Who Is It For

This is the bit nobody else has untangled, so bear with me while I lay it out properly.

Xeve charges credits for two different actions and calls them both "credits". Unlocking media that already exists is the cheap action: 2 credits for an image, 5 credits for a video. Generating brand new media is the expensive action: 5 credits for an image, 20 credits per video clip. Their own pages quote both sets of rates in different places and never once explain what separates them.

So the same 20 credits either unlock four existing videos or produce one new clip. That is a 4x spread on both media types, and there is no warning label. Their docs also note that longer video duration costs more credits still, which means 20 per clip is a floor and not a ceiling.

My working rule after poking at it: assume you are paying the generate rate unless you can see the media already exists. Budget for 5 and 20, then be pleasantly surprised when something only costs 2 or 5.

Credits are abstract, dollars are not, so here are the packs. 70 credits for $4.99. 200 credits for $9.99, down from $14.26. 500 credits for $22.99, down from $35.64. 1000 credits for $39.99, down from $71.29. And 5000 credits for $179.99, down from $356.43, which they mark as their Best-Seller.

Convert those into generated media at 5 credits per image and 20 per video and the picture sharpens fast.

On the cheapest 70 credit pack you are paying roughly $0.36 per generated image and $1.43 per generated video. On the middle 500 credit pack it drops to about $0.23 per image and $0.92 per video. On the 5000 credit pack it bottoms out around $0.18 per image and $0.72 per video.

That is a 2x difference between the smallest and largest pack on both media types. If videos are your main reason for being here, the small packs are the expensive way to do it, and $1.43 a clip adds up quicker than you think when you are experimenting with prompts and half of them miss.

Every membership tier includes 60 credits a month. Xeve advertises that as 30 image unlocks or 12 video unlocks, and the arithmetic checks out at the unlock rates of 2 and 5 credits.

Now run the same 60 credits at the generate rates. 60 divided by 5 is 12 images. 60 divided by 20 is 3 videos. Three.

So the included allowance is either 12 videos or 3 videos depending on which action you take, and the marketing quotes the flattering number. If you signed up expecting a dozen fresh clips a month, you are getting a quarter of that, and topping up means buying packs. I do not think it is a trick exactly, since both rates are published, but you have to hold two price lists in your head at once to spot it. Nobody does that while clicking a checkout button.

Their docs describe the video experience as driven by real-time reactions: lip sync, gestures, facial expression changes and action-based responses. You steer it through chat and through action controls, so the session responds to what you type and to what you press rather than just playing a canned loop. That mechanism is the genuinely interesting part of the product and it is why the homepage is built around a video grid with LIVE NOW badges rather than a wall of text.

Every membership tier includes unlimited video chat, which is unusual. Plenty of competitors meter video by the minute or the clip. Here the live session is covered by the subscription and only generated or unlocked media pulls from your credit balance, so the two systems stay separate. Worth knowing before you panic-buy a credit pack.

Each character panel also carries its own Video button, and there is a Generate Videos for these Girls row on the homepage, so the site keeps nudging you between live sessions and produced clips. Those clips are the ones that cost 20 credits each.

The chat itself does text messages and voice messages. One voice clip I timed came in at 11 seconds, so these are short spoken replies rather than long monologues. Unlimited chatting is included on every tier, so the conversation layer is not metered.

The composer is where the money lives. Get an image and Get a video sit right there beside a settings control, which makes requesting media frictionless in a way that is either convenient or dangerous depending on your self-control. Under the composer, a permanent line reads that responses, images and voice are AI generated. Small thing, but I like seeing it stay on screen instead of appearing once in an onboarding modal.

The sidebar splits into Recent Chats and Available Chats, so several conversations can run in parallel and you can drop back into an old one without hunting for it.

Each character gets a panel with a gallery of five images, a written persona description and a Video button. Five images is a modest amount of reference material, and the persona text does most of the work in setting expectations for how a character talks.

The homepage is organised into rows: the live video grid up top, a Human AI Girlfriends row, the Generate Videos for these Girls row, and a wall of media generated by other users. That last one is effectively a showcase of what the generator can do, which is useful before you spend 20 credits finding out yourself.

Customisation is not really the pitch here. You are choosing from a roster and steering through conversation and action controls, so if you want deep character building from scratch this is not the tool with the deepest bench.
