SoulFun Review 2026: Pros, Cons, and Who Is It For

Okay so here's my honest first impression. I've tested a stupid number of these AI girlfriend apps at this point and most of them blur together, same grid of pouty faces, same chat box, same "I've been waiting for you 😘" opener. And the thing that bugged me most: I couldn't find a straightforward way to buy extra coins when I ran low. Maybe it's buried somewhere, maybe they added it since, but if you hit zero on day twenty you might just be waiting for the reset. Card and crypto both accepted, and the billing descriptor is discreet, which matters to a lot of people.

SoulFun is a good app wearing a bad pricing model, and I keep coming back to that. The tech is legitimately impressive. Voice calls that don't sound like a GPS unit, characters that look like real photographs, roleplay that holds its shape instead of collapsing into agreeable mush after five messages. All of that is worth something.

But then the coin meter. Ten per minute on calls, which is the exact feature they're selling you on, so you're being charged premium rates to use the thing that makes the app special. Ten dollars a month for this quality is fair, and you'll have enough coins to enjoy yourself without doing arithmetic mid-conversation. If you're mostly a texter who wants endless chat, or if you need a huge library to browse, there are better-value options out there and I'd point you elsewhere.
